To be honest, we thought the Manrose Gold 100mm Bathroom Extractor Fan that we tested before was pretty good value – if a little noisy, and not much to look at.  The Manrose Standard 100mm Bathroom Extractor is the even-cheaper little brother.  This fan isn’t going to win any prizes for it’s design.  It’s chunky and dated – but that’s not what we’re here to test.

Inside, it appears absolutely identical to the Manrose Gold.  That fan was Part F compliant with our cavity wall setup, including the gravity vent backdraft preventer, so we were pretty confident when we put this fan on the test rig.

It did the job – it’s noisy, not that attractive, but it works and it is cheap!

Be aware that although this fan had an adequate flow rate on our test setup, it wasn’t overly powerful – a longer duct or different vent will affect the flow rate, so make sure you test your install yourself.

No design prizes for the Manrose fan, but was it Part F Compliant?
